The guys were from the same guild and doing Ring of Fire bonus for the 5th time as a guildie and I joined them. I was helping the guildie with the bonus and thought "what the hell, I'll invite the wamos for old times sake". Their story was that of four previous failures because the ghost girl kept running into the Mursaat and getting killed. So, this time they decided to keep up with her and keep heer alive.

I was speechless.

So I was taking my new crit/barrage assasin to the temple, and joined a group, saw another a/r, i thought cool this will be fast. I asked him if he was crit/barrage, he said uh, i dunno, so i assked him to ping his build, he said i concentrate on dagger mastery and marksmanship...... and he pinged this:

well i was in ascolon arena on my warrior.
and there was a W/Mo with ahammer in his hands. it was a mursaat hammer with 12% more dmh vs hexd foes he asked me later why his axe skills wouldnt work.,...

he also used frenzy and heal sig :S

Thanks guys you're really making me paranoid. I'll be stressing over my build for weeks now. Luckily I'm the antisocial type so no one's ever seen them.

As for not spending attribute points that's only happened to me once. Late night, levelled up, went to bed, did missions a couple of days later, levelled up again and was bemused as to why I had gained twice as many points for that level.

Maybe he was just screwing around with you? I mean when you level up for the first time the attribute screen pops up. And there's always a spend attribute points tool tip. You'd have to be blind.

Seriously. There's constructive criticism and just calling you a noob. No matter which one you use on some people, the end result is the same. It's quite rare for some one to listen to advice of others in a PUG.

The last one has a few skills i use. is that really that bad or are u talking about the first monk build. I usually use healing breeze, heal party and either word of healing or orision of healing. combined with my other skills it's not bad. it gets me through all missions

Breeze sucks, heal party sucks without healer's boon, and orison is meh at best. Bring prot always.

very, the only way they listen is if they fail miserably (at least once) and THEN you explain. slowly. patiently. and ultimately for no reward at ALL.

saw this beaut at dunes of despair. attribute spread was just terrible, something like 10 best mastery and 10 healing, 2 divine and rest in smite. i sprinted back to my heroes.

I was trying to do Dunes bonus as well, it's so annoying when you feel like you have to PUG it. I finally got it with a bonder hero, but then it died so I had to redo mission. (Off topic, can someone PM me a way to do it H/H without the necrotic/consume bug?)

I know. And it's not just Guild Wars it happens in. I was playing another game, forget the name, and there was a newbie. He politely asked my help. So I thought, fair enough. I'll help. 3 hours later, I taught him everything. Then it began. He was fighting other newbies and killed them. He started with racist remarks and being outright immature.

Thankfully for the people around me, I NEVER teach anyone every single secret. It's something you learn in martial arts. A teacher must always keep a secret hidden incase of your student turning on you. So needless to say, I crushed his ego and he left.

After that, I'm very selective with who I help like that again.

Even there, it depends. Some will say you're bossy, the others will just go "lolz, ur noob 4 wantin me 2 run tis cuz i kno wat im using is gud, so stfu" and the remaining will actually take tips and USE them. Very few will actually thank you when they take, I'll agree.... and it's annoying. But then again it's the common mentality.

Well damn I should have taken a screenie, but I'll share the laugh anyway.

PuG-ed Dragon's Lair last night with my guildie. He monked, I played war. 3 wars, 2 rangers, 1 Necro (curses and water magic), and 2 Monks. The second monk was prot, no divine, summoning minions. Fiend, and bone minions, blood of the master. His heal? Take aggro and use reversal. He left after capping shield of regen (thank goodness). The good news, we still completed mission and bonus!
